I was contacted on Fiverr by the Clinical Supervisor at FCCS. She had tried to set up a template for an employee spotlight on Marq (formerly known as Lucidpress).

Marq is an online desktop publishing application. If you are serious about creating something for print then this is where desktop publishing is a requirement. This comes at a cost as the likes of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher and Marq all come with more tools than you can wave a stick at and generally more complicated to use.

However, the ability to place elements exactly where you want without them moving around randomly as soon as you add text is a great advantage. The ability to specify printing to the edge of the paper when printing professionally is also a big plus.

Working on the client's original file in Marq I tidied it up and made the master template using one employee's photograph and details as a guide. From that I made a further eight using different coloured graphics on each from a complementary pallet to differentiate between the staff members.
