This job came to me on Fiverr with an enquiry from Ryan. Their 'On-Hire Booklet' had been originally produced in Adobe InDesign.

Sometimes you can simply place a Word document into Google Drive, open it and then Save as Google Docs and the job is done. However, more complex documents, such as the Digital Maturity Assessment I had to deal with, will simply fall apart during the automatic conversion process. In my experience, the ordeal of then piecing the document back together takes longer and is more painful than actually creating from a new blank Google Doc.

The original Word document was complex because it had graphics embedded in the document's background as well as in the header and footer. There were also multiple tables and other graphics dotted around. Sometimes, only a systematic approach and a deep knowledge of how to make all of these elements behave on the page, will work.
