About Pexica

We specialise in Google Workspace and its associated applications. We can set up your Workspace and migrate data from other platforms. After that we can also provide administration of your domain in Google Workspace.

Another of our services is assistance with Google Docs; creation of templates and help with making PDFs editable is another service we provide. We can format Google Sheets to make them automated, user-friendly and better to look at.

If you need surveys or questionnaires setting up we can do that with Google Forms. Do you require website creation or an intranet? Consider the free platform that is Google sites before spending money on something you might not need. Contact us if you want honest advice about any of Google's apps.

Pexica Cloud and IT Services is the trading name of Phil Broughton. Phil spent 2005 until 2017 working in various IT roles in a secondary school in South West London. He began in an IT technician role; maintaining computers, looking after the network and running the IT helpdesk. After almost four years he moved into a new role that involved teaching students and teachers in IT, managing the website and researching learning technologies.

During that period the school began to use Google Apps for Education (now known as Google Workspace for Education). He played a pivotal role in this huge change. He helped staff members (using Microsoft products stored on the school network, individual computers and USB memory sticks) migrate to Google apps and cloud storage. He saw the many benefits of this system and embraced it - eventually buying a Google Pixel Chromebook and setting himself the challenge of working entirely in the cloud. Phil also became involved in producing the school magazine and newsletters. As well as creating graphics for these publications he also produced them for the digital signage screens that were installed around the building.

He completed his lengthy spell at the school in the role of Data Manager at a time when the school moved their management information system from SIMS to Progresso. Again, this meant shifting from a system that was installed in the school for almost two decades to a relatively new cloud-based system. In July 2017 Phil left the school to move back north with his family and to begin employing all these skills in his own venture.

Over the last few years computing has changed rapidly, as it always does. Now, you do not have to go and make a cup of tea while your PC boots up and deals with the latest batch of system updates. Instead, you can buy yourself a Chromebook that is ready to go within a few seconds of you lifting the lid and updates itself in the blink of an eye.

USB memory sticks were a blessing when they arrived on the scene but could easily malfunction or be lost. Cloud storage such as Google Drive and Dropbox mean your files are secure and go with you and your device. When your friend who lives 180 miles away is having problems setting up a spreadsheet, well, just collaborate and edit it from where you live.

Pexica passionately believe there are much easier ways of working these days but it seems not a lot of people are aware of this. Pexica want to work with people using our chief weapon, great customer service, to show them how IT can be easier to use and more helpful than ever.
